Summary: A virtual assistant for the management of chronic diseases. "I think it is possible", could you tell Siri.

Alex, Ann, Julie, Siri - there are a number of virtual assistants to our around, asking us if we need help or tell us where the nearest pizza can be.

Many of these digital personalities have been a novelty - or at least, a type of value-added service tool to the customer. But there is a big business on the virtual assistant and has little to do with their hunger at night.

Based in Spokane, Wash following announced today the availability of its new professional platform of health, called Alme for health services. That covers mobile, web and chat channels, Alme aims to improve (read: time, increase satisfaction of) the interactions of taxpayers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare, governmental organizations and ACOs providers with a knowledge base that adapts to the medical terminology.

Following is Alme already implemented in a number of other industries, including travel and Government; This is the first major company in the changing U.S. health care market. The company claims that four of five clients can be handled in a timely manner by Alme, against a traditional human-powered help desk.

"Traditional health care often gives us a nuisance instead of a Concierge," founder and CEO Fred Brown, said. "With Alme health care, providers and taxpayers alike can give patients the excellent service that require scale, while still managing costs tightly."

Brown and company expect. The health care market is one of the most demanding for the service, due to the nature of health-related interactions that are very personal and very technical. In pilot tests, the company's 11-year-old says that she saw a 29 percent fall in costs without reduction in customer satisfaction.
