Thirty-five percent of Americans own a Tablet and own 24 per cent and an e-reader, according to the latest study from Pew Internet Research.
Pew had documented a great leap in the ownership of the tablet. In November 2012, 25 percent of Americans had a tablet. The results illustrate the democratization of Tablet Computing and the impact on the models of low-cost more than the larger of the iPad version.
This table summarizes the ownership breakdown tablet and e-reader for Americans 16 years of age and up. Also to be noted that Pew studies on the property of tablet in the United States began at age 18 and above.
In terms of demographics, Pew's research indicates that tablets are common among higher-income Americans, but still they have not penetrated demographics of income lower.
