What's coming in Ubuntu 14.04: Trusty Tahr

While many are still reviewing the new Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy salamander, Ubuntu Linux founder Mark Shuttleworth and the team of developers and canonical is already starting work on the next version: 14.04 Ubuntu: Trusty Tahr.

Ubuntu 14.04 will be the next version of support (LTS) long-term operating system which means, and Shuttleworth is aware, that must be stable for business and which will have to be supported for five years.

Many new features introduced in Ubuntu 13.10, as fields, shall be tuned in faithful Tahr. Other features that do not become the full version of Ubuntu 13.10, but did so in the new mobile version, Ubuntu Touch, they will be included in all versions of Ubuntu 14.04. Among them are the updates based on images and Mir graphics stack.

Shuttleworth offered some details about these two features. "Updates based on images", explained, "it's a very important job. What you can expect from Ubuntu 14.04, according to Shuttleworth, will generally be "performance, refinement and maintainability.
